CIL to hold open days in April

Custom Interconnect Limited will be hosting a series of open days in April 2010.  Each day will consist of a number of mini-lectures and presentations by representatives from across the Electronics Industry.  Tours will be given of CIL's award winning Andover facility and break-out groups will discuss specific areas of interest and topical subjects.

Tuesday 20^th April - LED Focus

"LEDs are now Illuminators, not just Indicators."  Hosted by the CoolLED Design and Engineering Team, this open day will explore the current state of LED technology, modern applications of LEDs and discuss design considerations for those using LEDs as a major part of their products.  CoolLED are a division of CIL with expertise in the design and manufacture of high power illumination systems using both packaged and bare die LED technology.

Wednesday 21^st April - Electronics Manufacturing & Micro-packaging

This is your opportunity to meet the production team at CIL, who will take you through the latest developments in the EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) Sector.  You may want to improve your understanding of DFM (Design For Manufacture), or you might just feel that a better understanding of the manufacturing process would help you in your daily activities and your dealings with your colleagues and suppliers.

Thursday 22^nd April - Training for the Future

Specifically intended to provide an insight into modern Electronics Manufacturing for local Students.  You will learn about career and training opportunities in this exciting industry.  CIL is currently recruiting and operates an ongoing apprentice scheme.  A morning session will be held for local schools and colleges, and an afternoon session for University Students and Staff.
