CIL's new factory makes short list for prestigious industry award
CIL has been nominated on the shortlist for the UK's 2006 Best Factory Awards.
Each year the Cranfield School of Management, in partnership
with Works Management magazine, holds its highly prestigious Best
Factory Awards. The Awards luncheon this year is to be held at
the London Hilton, Park Lane on Friday September 29th and we have
been informed by Cranfield University that CIL has made the shortlist
for one or a number of awards. Reaching the shortlist means that
we are guaranteed to be either highly commended or a category
winner.
The awards fall into the categories of: Best Electronics and Electrical
Plant, Best Small Company Award, Most Improved Plant, South and
East Regional Award, Supply Chain, Innovation and Health, Safety
& Environment and we are eligible for the Judges' Special Award
and of course the Zurich Factory of the Year Award. Nomination
for an award follows a searching and detailed assessment by the
selection panel and it is a real achievement for CIL to win this
nomination. It is in recognition of the high levels of investment
that the company and all our staff have made in the new headquarters
at Andover.
It proves that it is not only our customers who say 'wow' when
they look around the new factory - it is also a team of highly
qualified industry experts who make up the selection panel. Keep

the Awards ceremony.
