Phil Smith of Custom Interconnect Ltd comes 2nd place in UK National Soldering Championship 2019

Phil Smith, a member of Custom Interconnect Limited's Rework team, attended the National UK IPC Hand Soldering Competition yesterday and placed 2nd! Huge congratulations to Phil from everyone here at CIL! The reliability of electronic equipment is ensured by zero-defect soldering processes. This contest recognises the best skills in hand soldering complex printed board assemblies. Participants compete against each other to build a functional electronics assembly within a time limit. Assemblies are then judged in accordance with IPC-A-610G Class 3 criteria, the speed at which the assembly was produced and overall electrical functionality of the assembly.
